I want to get a copy of Windows XP, but I've notice it's still pretty expensive. I need to get a copy so I can put it on my Macbook Pro. I know, why would I want to put Windows on on my Mac? Well there are just some programs I need to run that are for Windows and it'd be easier if I just did it all from my Mac.

Any idea on how to search for cheap versions of Windows XP or know what I should expect to pay?

Thanks!

"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

I thought they pulled XP? I don't think it's for sale at regular outlets anymore.

What is OEM and why is it cheaper than the other version of Windows XP Home Edition? Does it just not include as many bells and whistles?

did you try to find open source apps that could possibly handle your "must have apps"?

OEM means that it was made by Microsoft- but sold by another company. And yes, the home edition just does not come with all the stuff- don't know what stuff is missing, but it should work for what you need.
