Really, the best thing to do is bring her to a concert.
let them tour the south and its done.. hee hee0 -
Seems that needlessly it's getting harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we getting something out of this
all-encompassing trip?0 -
Could be worse. She could have fallen asleep during sex.drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"
kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.

"I think I'm gonna order Chinese food for Pearl Jam dinner."
"What's on TV? Oh, some cartoons, Pearl Jam a documentary about the World Wars..."
"Officer! This man is Pearl Jam stabbing me with a knife!"
Eventually, this verbal conditioning will make her associate Pearl Jam with pretty much every aspect of life, from dinner, to being stabbed with a knife. Then, when you turn on SVT again, she'll either sit and watch happily, or make dinner... or stab you.
now thats some damn good logicDublin Leeds Berlin Wembley0 -

You two should have been playing doctor instead of watching SVT.
I agree with someone else's post, keep your love of pj to yourself (not their exact words). After hearing criticism or inaccurate crap about PJ, I decided to not tell people (like at work) that I like them.
Also, CSI is one of my favorite tv shows and I fall asleep watching it all the time. Does not mean I'm bored, I'm sleep deprived.9/98, 9/00 - DC, 4/03 - Pitt., 7/03 - Bristow, 10/04 - Reading, 10/05 - Philly, 5/06 - DC, 6/06 - Pitt., 6/08 - Va Beach, 6/08 - DC, 5/10 - Bristow, 10/13 B'more

You think that's bad.....my ex-wife fell asleep actually at a Pearl Jam show!!
I'm not saying that's the reason we broke up but maybe, on some level.....A democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.

I personally don't find SVT that interesting and can see why someone who isn't a fan might fall asleep during it. I can even see myself falling asleep during it if I wasn't in the mood. Owned it for years...think i've watched it once. Doesn't live up to the hype around it for me.). I try to hold back on my obsession cos I don't want people thinking I'm nuts... but my bf did his OWN research
The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
Chicago 07? And love
What a different life

At least she didn't fall asleep during sex
I fall asleep during movies/tv shows all the time...even if I really like them...I'm just usually on the go all day long and when I finally sit down and relax I'm out like a lightAs others have suggested...try something a bit more high energy
There's a light when my baby's in my arms0 -
You should just demand that she stand during all PJ-related activities.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0

as long as she didn't fall asleep while you were.....well, ya know...;) it's all good.
there's still hope for her, and you both as a couple, yet. also depnds just HOW important pearl jam, and shared musical tastes are to you too. shared love of music is a HUGE bond in my marriage....my husband actually turned me on to pearl jam....but my love for pearl jam FAR eclipses his. and it's ok.let her here pj...play cds....let it slowly get in her psyche. and absolutely, take her to see em LIVE! if that doesn't do it, eh well......see how good the rest of the relationship is.
ok, i now have read the thread.
thanks for all the laughs! good stuff in here! and i should've realized the 'sex joke' here would happen within at least 7 posts.
however, here seems to be the most *sensible* response, although there were a few:restlesssoul wrote:dude its not that big a deal, she doesnt HAVE to like pj. just play their music as you would normally, if she likes it, she will come around to it, then you can begin "the education process".Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0
