Hello i´m moving to boston from norway for one year.
any cool bars around.
Are there any possibilities for activietis like alpineskiing and downhillbiking/singletrack nearby.

Well I'm not from Boston, but there are probably 3,480,567,069 bars in the city of Boston.
Alpine Skiing, the closest good resort is probably Killington Vermont which is about 160 miles away. If you're gonna ski, save money and fly out West if you have time.
Singletrack . . . A local would need to help you out with that one.NERDS!0 -

Boston is full of cool bars, depending on what you like. My favorite ones at the moment are all in Cambridge because it's less touristy & obnoxious.
Killington has alpine skiing and singletrack. That region of Vermont has a lot to offer.
I really doubt going out West would be cheaper right now with the way airfare is. Skiing out there really can't be considered a "bargain.""If you're looking for someone to pull you out of that ditch, you're out of luck."0 -

Been here for two weeks now.
Like it very much and there are plenty of bars:)

I stayed at the Hyatt last time I went to Yanks/Sox in Fenway. Boston has its charm.I took an early morning jog by the river...very nice0 -

That isn't really true. Plenty of Boston bars (like: Cask & Flagon) give equal time to NY teams."If you're looking for someone to pull you out of that ditch, you're out of luck."0 -

Welcome to Boston:) I live in Cambridge too...there are some good shows coming up in October @ the Middle East in Central Sq and @ the Paradise in Allston, don't miss those!
Have you found the ski places yet? I don't ski, but all of my friends do...they are snobs and go to Vermont0 -
