ok, i saw this episode and there is a hole in the plot (i think) and it's been driving me crazy:

larry is at an ice cream shop and the woman ahead of him is sampling lots of different flavors. larry (of course) gets mad at her and they get into an argument.

next scene - larry comes home. cheryl says "that woman you just got into an argument with at the ice cream shop is the principal at the school we are trying to get the Black kids into, you just screwed everything up"

my question - how the hell does cheryl know that A) larry got into a fight at the ice cream shop and B) the woman he got into the fight with is the principal??

i have watched this a few times now and there is just no rhyme or reason to it at all...very uncharacteristic of larry david to do this

    Maybe the woman recognized Larry and called Cheryl and told her what happened. I am not too sure.

    I just started watching this show 3 weeks ago, and I think I have found the show to fill my post "Arrested Development" blues. I cannot believe I missed out on the show for this long.

    The bit about the sweaty, old, crumpled $50 was hilarious! :D

    I remember the episode, but don't remember this hole in the plot. I'll have to watch it again. That would be very unlike Larry David to have a hole in the plot like that........

    All in all, it's one of the funniest shows I've ever watched....

    im pretty sure cheryl knew the woman but larry didnt.

    so youre just supposed to assume the principal called.

    I vaguely remember this episode. I don't really remember how Cheryl found out.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    I haven't seen the episode in sooooo long, but if you watch the Ice Cream Shop clip on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmF2SeMTYCM), she clearly recognizes him at the very end. You can see the "oh my" look on her face.
