kids like sugar ... organic cereals tend to be lower in sugars then the other brands ... so, in a nutshell - i would say no ...

although i think u can buy organic corn flakes - which should be within the palate range ...

Buy a bunch of the brand names....same kinds as the organic cereal and put the organic cereal in those boxes! See if they think it is the brand name! You can cook with the cereal.....put it in baked goods or muffins.

I doubt her kids would eat most of the kashi cereals if they are that picky, but Autumn Harvest is fairly sweet and resembles shredded wheat. perhaps?
  • Have you tried Cocoa or Peanut Butter Bumpers? My kids will occasionally eat that cereal. However, the healthiest cereal my kids will eat is "Cheerios" and since they sell it at Whole Foods, it can't be that bad.

    Good Luck

Why not make oatmeal with organic oats - my kids always liked oatmeal.

To use up the cereal you already have, you could put some in muffins maybe. I don't know if you're vegetarian - if you make meatloaf you could use it like the breadcrumbs, or if you are vegetarian, use it as breadcrumbs in something else.

Can you mix up a little of the organic with some of the cereal they are eating now? Then gradually add more organic and less of their current cereal?

Oh and anything with fruit would help I guess.
    NOPE!!!

Why don't you make your own granola or something? I know, a bit hippieish, but damn good and at least you know what goes in there. All you need is to buy your various ingredients organic and mix following your kids taste. Start with rolled oats and add as much or as little of toasted almonds (or hazelnuts or whatever nut you like), coconut, mixture of dried fruits (raisins, apricots, cranberries, cherries, etc), any other dried fruit or nut you/your kids like really - be as creative as you wish - some honey and a bit of oil. Mix it all up and bake it and then break it up.

It's yummy, full of good stuff and your kids will love it. It's made in no time and you can even get your kids in the kitchen and make it - it's great fun! Make loads at a time and store it.

I have to laugh at that... I think you'll find that hundred years ago, food was ONLY organic! We didn't 'invent' organic food, we 'invented' genetically modified foods, pesticides, etc.!
  • Love me some Kashi! I'm eating the Blueberry Cluster right now! Try that out, it's pretty delish.

Steel Cut Oats might be a good bet too.
