I'll be in the neighborhood later on, and I was wondering if maybe you wanted to get some frozen yogurt, or perhaps a whole meal of food, if that would be agreeable. Damnit.

I just started FF7 again recently, and now that the game is a lot older, all I can say if this is real is, wow. Cloud looks extremely real. I don't like how he looks really, or how they added that little cinema of him jumping off the train, but still. Also I hope they didn't change the music at all. Aeris' character looked amazing though. I'm curious to see updated player models, both in game and cut scenes.

Tifa's character alone is going to give the game an AO rating :p

I remember seeing this for PS1 when it first came out and I was blown away by the graphics but just could never get into these types of games.

It's just a tech demo. This was released a while ago... there aren't any plans to remake FFVII, so don't get your hopes up. Cool video though.

Yeah, I plan on restarting it soon myself (I just bought an old PS1 memory card this week off eBay for this purpose). I usually play through it once every couple of years or so, and each time 'round the game never ceases to grow old (although spending days breeding/racing chocobos does get repetitive). Favorite game of all time.

If this is really a remake, I will definently condsider buying a PS3 in the future. By the way, has anyone played the new PSP FF game?

Haha, no I didn't. The same bosses I had trouble with my first play though I am still having trouble with. I'm in the Temple of the Ancients fighting that dragon boss who can wipe out a character in one hit. Not to mention Aeris HAS to be in the party and I never use her so she is really weak. I've given up on it for a while.

I remember getting stuck at that boss. I had to spend hours running up and down that hallway with the big mural in order to level my characters up more. It gets tedious, but if all else fails try that...

The worst part is that I think there is another boss right after that's even tougher. Or am I wrong? I think there is.

Depending on your level of preparation the Red Dragon can be either easy
or hard. Equip a Fire Ring on someone as well as Elemental paired with
fire Materia in an armour slot. If you're using Vincent don't use his
limit break. Start the battle with Big Guard if you have it, then attack
with Aqualung, Bio to poison him, Odin summon if you have it, otherwise
Titan. Limit breaks are great, Aeris' limit heals 50% of everyone's max
HP which can be helpful, Big Guard won't reduce the amount it heals.

I NEED that Big Guard enemy skill. Any idea on how to get it? But thanks for that, that gave me an idea. Equipping that fire ring should keep one player alive the whole time and equipping fire materia to armor should offset it. When I have time i'll have to try that, thanks!

Funny you bump this. I finally beat that damn dragon yesterday. Except now I can't beat this fucking wall. It's a wall/door monster. It's so cheap too. I'll be in great condition and out of no where he does 3 attacks in a row and I die.

The problem is the teams are all busy with FFXIII, and once that's done there's always going to be the question of remaking FF7 or making an entirely new game. Artistically, I think the teams would prefer to make a new game than redo FF7. It could happen, but when it does the announcement will probably come right out of the blue.

Agreed...sort of. I think the game will be a remake as opposed to a new story, but they'll redo it from scratch.
And they will probably try to keep it quiet, although they like to announce and delay the FFVII stuff.
