My wife & I have been trying to have a baby for 4 yrs now. We are seeing a fert. specialist. We are at the IUI stage (for those who have had trouble you know what an IUI is). Clomid didnt work for my wife. She had to take shots every night for 5-6 nights. We did get preg. after our 2nd IUI but it miscarried. We just had our 3rd IUI yesterday (I had a 144 million sperm count, not too shabby if I do say so myself..lol). Hopefully this will take. I dont think my wife or me could take any more bad news. Anyways we have to wait a couple of weeks before peeing on a stick and doing the blood test. please pray to god or whatever you believe in that this time it will take and 9 months from now we will have a little baby.

My wife and I were fortunate two have two healthy children when we tried. However our best friends tried for years and years without success. Finally they did get pregnant but it almost tore them apart. The fertility drugs really messed with her head. She gained a lot of weight and is still trying to lose it. It was rough for them for about a year or so after their son was born. Just remember that whatever happens you need to stay together and continue to be a family together......no matter what.

And remember its always fun tryin!

    Good Luck

First off, good luck to you and your wife.

My wife and I often discuss what we would do if we couldn't have children, We have seen several friends and family go through the fertility stuff, and all ended in heartache, and a big debt because of it. So if we can't have children naturally, we'll just accept that it wasn't meant to be, and keep on rockin' with just the two of us.....travel the world....spontaneous weekend trips....you know stuff you can't really do with children.

I have worked for a family in the past that went through this for all of their children. I must say, its great that you are able to talk about it. A lot of people are so hush hush about it, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's ironic, some of the people that want it the most, are sadly the people that can't seem to get pregnant naturally.

I have never tried to get pregnant, nor will I ever, but I have dealt with the heartache of the process through work, and I do truly wish you the best of luck. Just keep a positive outlook and hopefully things will turn out for you. Remember, in times of bad news you and your wife can really grow closer to each other by being each other best support system.

    Best of luck!

    Oh,
I believe in God. And Jesus. I will pray to both of them for you and your wife to have a little one. Good luck and God bless.

My sister and her husband tried for five years to have a baby. First, clomid...... then five IVF attempts. They succeeded with their fifth attempt and now have a gorgeous little boy. A little over a year later, she became pregnant again, unassisted and very unexpectedly. Sadly, she miscarried. They still have embryo's on ice and were starting to think about going through the transfer process again, when she discovered she is pregnant, again, unassisted and very unexpected. At 7 weeks she had an ultrasound, which revealed twins!!! They are due in September and my god, the woman is HUGE already. She's only 22 weeks and looks close to term, it's gonna be an awesome ride!

Best of luck with your own efforts, I will pray that this time it's successful.

Dude best of luck man. My wife and I tried for two years before going to IVF. We were successful on out first round of IVF. Thank God because as you know shit ain't cheap. My wife responded very well to the drugs for IVF. 22 eggs were harvested and we ended up with like 16 embryos. We have 11 frozen embryos and are doing our second round of IVF next month.

IVF Success One. Hoping for number two...

Serious wish you the best. The result is truely worth once you get there. My heart gets melted everyday by my daughter.

All my positive thoughts are with you two. There is nothing more beautiful in the world than people hoping for a little one in their lives and receiving that gift. I can tell that with the desire you hold for a child, that you will be a great parent. Best of luck to you both. Keep us posted!

My friend and her husband tried for years to have children, but to no avail and finally kind of gave up. She went through a lot of problems after with her health and it was finally recommended that she have a hysterectomy. So she went in for the operation and when they scanned her found she was pregnant! They now have a lovely little girl called Sophie :)

I really hope everything works out well for you and your wife :)

Good luck with this attempt. I will tell you some good news, out of everyone I know who had major fertility problems and there were a ton of couples over the years, only two couples weren't able to have their own biological baby. One coupe is are now adopting a baby girl from China....and ecstatic about it. The other couple...is very happy with out children. Everyone else had babies, some even had twins and one had triplets....that couple is pulling their hair out right now as their 3 girls are hitting their teens :D YIKES! I know others who abandoned trying, adopted and then went on to have their own baby, with out trying!!! Someone else I know never told her family she couldn't have kids, people just believed that she didn't want them because she never talked about it, and guess what...ten years in to her marriage....she got pregnant, her beautiful daughter is going to be one in July! So if it is meant to be...it will happen.

No, they are different. IVF is done after IUI's are not working.

    What is an IUI

I just want to wish you the best. My wife and I are about 10 months into trying for a family and no luck yet. We though we go lucky back in Nov. but 3 weeks later she had a miscarriage. The crazy thing is my wife is a 3rd grade teacher and of course it seems like EVERY other woman she works with is pregnant or just had a baby. She says she can't eat lunch with them because the only thing they talk about is baby talk.

I had some trouble having a baby a few years ago. It seemed like no girls would let me near them...makes it kinda hard.

    seriously, good luck!

My heart goes out to you, timroth, and anybody else who has to go through this process. My sister and her husband are having to go through this process trying to have a child. I know it can be worrisome, unnerving, and expensive to do this. Good luck for all those that are trying.

I am sending you good wishes that you will succeed and have the baby you desire and that you will also have as many as you wish.

If it makes you feel encouraged, my good friend had problems getting pregnant for many years and she adopted a little girl as a new born. (many years ago) Then she Bamm! got pregnant three times after it and delivered all healthy babies two years apart from each other.

That is 100% true and I hope you have the same good fortune.

    Truly.

Oh my !! good for you! (I did not read the last post so I had no idea! Yeah for you guys!!)

    congrats!!
