    Holy shit.

I'm going to go with not funny. The alcohol may impact on the baby's development :( That's crazy. How could the mother think that was acceptable?

She's an alcoholic...and obviously doesn't seem to care much about her child.

You'd think even the worst alcoholic could at least wait until their labour finished before they cracked open another bottle of wine :(

Not funny. It really breaks your heart to hear how the most helpless among us can be prisoners of the most abusive among us. :(

I have a nephew with FAS....it is NOT funny. His life is a complete mess thanks to his ahole mother. All his siblings are really messed up too...because not only did she drink she also did all kinds of drugs while pregnant with all of her children.

If she's an alcoholic it probably wouldn't have made much difference, she was probably boozing through the whole pregnancy anyway. Fucking shocking, people like that should not be bringing life into this world.

hope she isn't allowed to keep the baby. That is an extreme form of child neglect - it will most likely effect the development of the baby & cause problems throughout it's life. It deserves to be with someone who will care for it properly. And I hope the 5 year sentence doesn't get reduced to 5 days or something stupid like that. In my opinion, she deserves much more. Unbelievable how people don't think of anything but themselves.

  • That's terrible. I can't deal with stories of helpless children now since I've had my own. It's also terrible that the mother is so screwed up that she can't even control her intake while pregnant. It's natural instict to want to protect your children but some people seem to lose their way. If ever there were a reason to stop bad habits, it would be when you have a child. Very sad.

Maybe she was drunk during that class and couldn't remember.

Yes that rule should be installed however due to the rules of nature, the human instinct and the results that these instincts sometimes produce - there is no way of empowering such pattern of activity and if there were such a method, i dred to think what such practice would entail . . .
