today was the last day of my MBA course. the class ended a few hours ago. i am feeling terrible. now its back into the dirty world of men and machines for me. no more college. no dazzling lectures to attend. i plan to work for one year, earn some money and get back to college. the dirty world of corporates and companies is not for me. i am scared to enter the real world. i know i am going to miss the joy and security of being in college for ever more. i hate everything.

how did you feel on the last day of your formal education ??
I have faced it, A life wasted...

Take my hand, my child of love
Come step inside my tears
Swim the magic ocean,
I've been crying all these years

Congratulations on finishing your graduate degree. I'm not sure why you chose to pursue an advanced degree relating to an industry you clearly despise.

I have only an undergraduate degree, which I hold in the subject of accounting. I was working full-time + hours while studying, so to say that I was glad when it was finally over would be a major understatement.

I thought I might go back to school one day, but I'm not sure if I really like the subject of business all that much. Seems like such a waste of time and energy.

Friend of mine makes great money and never achieved anything in terms of a college education. He said if he ever went to college, he would take something like philosophy as he would be doing so purely for the sake of learning and not expanding his income potential.

I guess if I wasn't worried about trying to make more money, I would major in something like philosophy or psychology.

Congrats on finishing though. How did I feel? Walking out of my last exam for my B.S. I felt 10 miles high. I'd worked really hard and I had the feeling that finally, nothing and no one can take this away from me.

If you're scared of the real world, save the money and just lock yourself in your parents basement :D

Might be a different story, as I did the MBA thing part time ... I was so fukkin happy when that shit was over ... working 60-70 hours a week, then adding on class, homework, group meetings ... oh man, it was pure hell.

If you can afford it, going full time is the way to go ... but seeing as my former employer paid for the whole thing (around 85k) ... I did the part time gig.

edit - oh, congrats on finishing!

    Get your Ph.D.

I felt the same way. This way you can stay in school, literally, forever.
