Coolest fuckin' birthday present *ever*!!!

so i turned 22 yesterday and check out what my family got me....

i've been trying to get my hands on one of these for ages and now i actually GOT one.... for free!!!


and yes that's No Code playing... ;)

now i can finally listen to my PJ vinyl whoohooo :D i actually already owned some vinyl i never had a chance to listen to before now, because i didn't have it on cd or mp3.
i always thought i only wanted a turn-table for my PJ collection, but now that i've heard what it sounds like i definitely want to start collecting other LP's as well!

    That looks pretty bad ass. Is it brand new? What's the make and model of it. All my turntables are shot to shit and I'm in need of a new one for Santa to bring me.

    I had the same when I was teenager. When my parents moved, I threw the posetr thinking "now, I'm a grwon-up I don't need posters anymore"...
    Stupid. Now, I'm buying posters again ! :D

    On topic, the gift is most bodacious, congrats! I'm tempted to invest myself.

    How do you throw away a poster? Well you move out of your parents house, have them decide to store your things since you're gone, use garbage bags as storage devices, then a few months later they see garbage bags and think there's garbage in them, and throw them out without looking. I think there were only two posters in there, and the other was also a PJ poster (Eddie back to back with Mike I think).

    oooh, pretty!! congrats!

    you're gonna love how everything sounds on vinyl, not just pj. i've been a record collector for years, and there's just no beating that sound that you can only get from a record. enjoy!

    i just spinned Vitalogy this afternoon, it sounded AWESOME!! :D

    i looked up Binaural on ebay and the only copy i could find was $145!! no way i can afford that! :eek:

    cool...but how does it sound? I bought a cheap player and it sounds like shit, there's no bass. I remember Vinyl as a warm sound, but this is like a tin!!

    can someone explain why the sound on the site and the category names are in english yet all the pages are in dutch (I think)?

    i can tell you the sound is a lot better than i expected from a built-in speaker system. but if you want better bass sound, there's a sub woofer thingy on the back, like this.
    so i'm pretty satisfied with how it sounds, but i do think if i ever have any money to burn i'll get myself a good set of sub woofers, just so i can hear Jeff better... ;)

    i believe it's a Dutch company, but i don't understand why the website isn't available in English either, but i read they ship world-wide.... i guess you could always email them with questions! :)

    I get mine out through Home-Cinema amp, with subwoofer..still crap, the sub has nothing to pick up (there's only a stereo plug, no specific sub one..)
