Anyone into the ponies? If so, do you have any particular angles or things you watch for that work?
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

I have a feeling he wouldnt be selling his picks out front if he was picking winners. I would be cashing tickets, not selling my picks. I am amazed at how many people buy these things. I may start selling my own.

I rely on my own handicapping. Speed, class, distance, jock, trainer angle, good works, etc. Same shit as everybody else, I just rate them in order of priority. Just wondering if anyone shared the hobby of handicapping.

Basically started the thread to see if anyone wanted to share some knowledge or angles they love to see at Toga. Not the obvious hanciapping 101 angles such as lone closer in speed dominat race, lone speed, horse with fastest first fraction in a race of bums, etc. Something else. For example, horse with best second fraction on inner turf sprints in allowance races (36% winners).

I live in Albany and don't know shit about horse racing, but I would love to learn. It sounds like a lot of fun. I heard Bill Parcells loves horse racing in Saratoga.
