i hate verizon (no offense nfanel)

do i need a text message telling me you just charged me $78.08 for my monthly cell phone bill? no, i don't, thanks.

also, i dont' want you to text me about any other shit either. thats twice today you've made me think someone might be texting me, it was a real let down.

    AT&T does it too. I get several texts from them every month.

    i don't get texts from verizon. i'm sure there's a feature where you can turn off notifications? :confused:

    if you want i can send you texts every ten minutes for the rest of the day so you're no longer let down by fake outs. you'll be wishing for verizon messages again. :p

    Really? The only text I ever got from At&T is that my rebate submission was accepted and that it would be mailed to me soon.

    AT&T only emails me my auto-pay bill statement. Only texts I received from them are "special" offers and contests.

    I had an issue with Verizon for cell a few years ago and got AT&T (well, cingular but now AT&T).

    I now have Verizon FIOS and love it. But every few months I get double billed. So I have to keep proof of payment. And last time I got double billed I called and got Miss Attitude. Who after 25 minutes and 2 managers later got the issue straightened out. And right before she let me off the phone I hear a big 'ol OH NO! "I have to transfer you over to collections. We've put your account into collections ma'am".

    WTF!

    All because of their bad billing! So now I get Miss Attitude Squared, with the manager, who tells me that they never posted my bill from like 7 months ago and they put it into collections. Which is WHY I keep getting a double bill every few months.

    So after going through my payment confirmations, they realize it was their mistake and "We're so sorry" you are all set.

    68 cell phone minutes later, 2 sassypants "service representatives" and 2 managers it's figured out.

    I too, very much dislike Verizon.

    But FIOS is great. Too bad.

    dont get me started on verizon. i had a 4 month battle with them that i think has finally been resolved. they broke a piece of my furniture when they installed my FIOS and it took over 4 months for someone to even acknowledge it. and when i said i was considering canceling all my verizon service - cell, phone, internet - the lovely customer service representative laughed and said "ok fine". once my contracts are up i am done.

    My Verizon service is for my cell phone and i have to say I love it
    and to the OP: You can contact them and request to block those text messages, and you can do it online.


    They started contacting me trying to sell my text msg plans but they only have unlimited to other Verizon customers so I asked them to stop.

    and I cross a major intersection in Bk on my way to work: if I didn't pay attention you'd see me on the news, like splat. That is dangerous though, you never know when someone's going to zip through an intersection.

    btw did you all see Sandra Bullock and her husband were in an accident, their car was hit by a drunk driver? Fortunately they are both ok.

    it's worse by like Times Square and everyone just stops and looks up like Homer looking at a donut.

    Or anywhere where there are taller bldgs. And now that's its warmer outside? Oh man.

    it's also annoying when people STOP dead in the subway b/c they don't know where they are going.
    That's a peeve of mine. Figure it out before you get down there, gosh darnit! Like they don't know what stop to get off at it!
