Breaking News AP: Tiger Woods will miss rest of golf season, according to a person familiar with the decision.

    Oh that stinks!!! I guess he came back too early - I think he was haoping to miss the next 4 weeks & return for the British Open.

    I really look forward to watching him week to week, so this is dissapointing but understandable.

    Doctors are saying that he'll have no long-term effects from it, but I have to wonder if it'll hamper him as time goes by. Here's hoping that's not the case and he's fine for years and years to come.

    This is what happens when you don't listen to your doctor and you over do your rehab.

    If he had just followed doctors orders he would have only missed this tournament and would have been able to play in the other 2 majors this year. He also probably had a partial ACL tear. I doubt it was ruptured because if it was he would have been in terrible pain and not just needed a scope to clean it up.
    I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    Tiger would only miss a major if there was absolutely no way he could play.

    I totally agree! It shows that he played through pain and won the big one. I actually thought he was faking a lot of it.

    no, thought about it but figured i'd be able to see it much better on tv rather than being behind 50k people ;)

    plus, i was able to play 3 rounds over the weekend instead.

    more than badass...almost unbelievable....with the amount of torque that he puts on the left leg i'm surprised his drives weren't worse than they were....:eek: :)

    Well this blows. I have tickets to the Barclays in NJ and was hoping to see Mr.Woods up close.
