Meeting Someone On Valentines Day

Yeah, you're probably sick to death of Valentines threads, but I just wondered, the whole thing of someone asking you out on valentines day seems really old fashioned and overdone, but whenever people say they first went out with their girlfriend/boyfriend wife/husband, they never say "We first started seeing each other on valentines day" or "I was asked out on valentines day" I mean, they don't specify any other day either...but still.
It's just an observational thing really, but does anyone here think that somebody asking you out on valentines day means that it won't work? Anyone suspicious or cynical of it? Anyone here first starting going out with their partner on valentines day?
Just seems weird as it never is classed as an anniversary type day.

That's because it's a stupid Hallmark holiday.

I think I'd rather smother
-The Replacements-
i read in the elevator that out of all the proposals in the u.s every year
only 6% or 9 % happen in feburary
i think people stay away from the cheezy get engaged on v-day
(this has nothing to do with ur question) just an observation
It is for my parents. This year it will be the 30th anniversary of their DIVORCE.
I wonder if Hallmark has something for that. :D
