Can/Bottle recycling... Aussies? Other countries?

So in South Australia it's gone from 5c to 10c per can/bottle returned for recycling.

What's going on in other states/countries?

I found it odd going to other states and seeing bottles marked '5c deposit only is SA'

Why not the rest of the country?

    Unlike the folks of SA...we do not need a monetary incentive to 'Do The Right Thing'. :D

    We get nothing in return....just the knowledge that we are law abiding citizens.

    Did you see my query re the 'like' poll I posted in one of the threads?

    10c in kiwiland if you take it to a recycling station yourself, but our city councils give every household a free recycling bin & do weekly recycling pickups anyway. keep it clean, keep it green!

    great, sounds similar to here, we've been given free recycling bins too that go out fortnightly for collection

    10c there for awhile?

    yeah, last year, since we changed all of our coins & dropped the 5c pieces

    i have a jar of $28 worth of 5c pieces, i dunno what to do with it
