Not sure what you're into but...

    Botanic Gardens
    Kelvingrove Park
    Pollok Country Park

Architecture around George Square in the City Centre is pretty amazing, they dont make buildings like they used to!! Also he architecture around St Mungos as well. If you are looking to go somewhere for drinks id reccommend Ashton Lane, which is just a pedestrianised street of bars and restaurants, and Byres Road in the West End, which is about 5 mins walk from me, as is Kelvingrove Park.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

Lol, what is the best thing about Edinburgh?

Its only 40 mins on the train to Glasgow.

Pointless info, Glasgow has the tallest cinema in Europe, what a claim to fame!! I went past it on he bus today, we were directed a different way from usual because there was a bombscare in Sauchiehall Street and the whole area was cordoned off. Havent heard a word about it on Sky News, if it was in London it would be all over the news im sure but there is a very obvious North/South divide. It was on the local news though. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/display.var.2360930.0.0.php

Providing there are no bomb alerts, Sauchiehall Street is certainly a place you should visit, main shopping centre in Glasgow and apparently the 2nd best place for shopping outsid London in the UK.

Oh well! :P thanks for the heads up, to be honest we just want to do a lot of shopping and perhaps a bit of clubbing! :)

Hahaha... I passed through en route to Fort William once and got that impression! Noticed the centre has a yankee-style street grid system, from what little I saw anyway.

they have a shitload of pubs.

thats all the information you need :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

You got the wrong impression lol. Its not one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK for nothing, wouldnt live anywhere else in this country!! Fort William is nice for scenery and stuff like that, but i couldnt handle living there for more than a day or id go mad.

I wouldn't worry about that... my brother works in bomb disposal and it's amazing the amount of scares we don't hear about. We really don't need to hear about every abandoned suitcase or dodgy looking box, do we? :)
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
    Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
    Chicago 07? And love
    What a different life
Had I not found this love with you
