probably going to catch it this weekend with mr. dream....got some free movie passes burning a hole in my pocket. :p love russell crowe, leonardo di caprio can be quite compelling at times and the previews we've seen look promising. it got so-so reviews, but just curious if anyone has seen it, has an opinion.....


be seeing it either way! :)
some interesting flicks out at the moment, as usual...love the fall film season, but this seems a best bet for us BOTH to at least semi-enjoy.....;)

    So weird I was going to start a thread about this today but thought it was a bit dated being that it's been out a few weeks...but yeah even though it didn't get great reviews, I'm both a Crowe and Leo fan so how bad can it be right? Someone said it's Syriana for dumb people, which is welcoming because to this day I couldn't tell you what I saw on the screen aside from a chubby and bearded Clooney :)..

    I saw it and it was pretty good. If you like Syriana you will definitely like this movie.

    i've been wanting to see it, being a big fan of russell...just haven't had a chance lately to check it out. lemee know how it was!

    I saw it a few days ago, I thought it was really good. I'm a big fan of both lead actors aswell as Ridley Scott. Leo is definitely the star of this one, and he did a great job in this movie. The story is not hard to follow at all, but I also didn't have any trouble following Syriana.

    really liked it!


    i kinda/sorta see the syriana comparison, but not nearly as challenging to follow. definitely liked em both! hubby was a bit bored with it, but whateva...i think a second viewing he'd like it more, as is usually the case. he even likes syriana after a few viewings. :p dicaprio was quite good, crowe was as well...amazing to see him as a fat, middle-aged dude, haha. reminded me of him in the insider...although he looks a bit more 'real'...yikes! :)

    Well, it better fucking better not be because Syriana upon first viewing is about as hard to figure out as how Dr. Phil is an author of a bestselling diet book ;)..

    seriously, it is NO where near as 'involved' as syriana but still a pretty compelling storyline and well acted by all. i take it you didn't end up seeing it this weekend, definitely worth seeing i think. i will definitely see it again when released on DVD.


    oh and as to dr. phil...i'd imagine it's simply the case of 'do as i say not as i do.' :D

    You should still be fine. While Syriana jumped around trying to follow different character's story lines, Body of Lies just follows one character's story line.

    Finally saw it over the weekend and loved it..which is usually the case with any Leo and/or Crowe movie....the only thing I found annoying was yes we get that Crowe ballooned into a fat motherfucker but was making him shove food into his mouth in every single scene necessary?? In his pajamas, on the swing, on his boat, as he shits, while he waits, at his daughter's game, at the airport, while he walks, while he drives, while he talks on his handless (which is key because obviously his hands were always filled with fucking food) etc etc..jesus that disturbed me..but other than that..great flick :)..
