No, it's not just you. If you even mention the word 'mosquito' around my mother or wife, inevitably one (or more) find them and produce multiple bites.

Hmm...I've never had a problem with the citronella. Is it those tiny candles? Or the bigger ones? I don't think the tiny candles have that big of a radius of protection. If that's not it, maybe some of that 'Skin So Soft' might work? It sounded like a decent product if you don't want the harsher chemicals on your skin....

hmmmm....seems more women get eaten alive - yes, leave those jokes outta this convo ;) - i wonder why? is it body chemistry? or too many topical products?

i am going to try and be product-free over the weekend and see if it helps.

in regards to the citronella, i am using the same candles as you...the BIG candles in the metal pails, not the dinky candles. :p and yes, i guess i will have to try using products. it's just so easy at the end of the day to head outside to the porch sans protection. it's a habit - using repellant - that i guess i have to embrace if i don't want to be covered in bites all the time. you'd think i'd learn by now......:o i have and do try all the preventitive measures that do not include putting any products on my skin, but so far, not enough results.

i AM curious if anyone has attracted bats to their proerty, if it helps, if the bathouses work, etc.

and i have read numerous times about different body chemistries being more 'attractive' to mosquitos. whatever it is, i think i have it. :o

My dad always said that mosquitos are attracted to and crave healthy rich blood. Thus, if they are all biting you in a crowd and ignoring everyone else it's for a good reason..you'll live long....or maybe it's just what he says to make me feel better. I don't know :)..

put on a slow, dumb show for you
    and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
    god I'm very, very frightening
    and I'll overdo it'

    ha!
nice to know i am 'rich' in something. ;)

singer in one of hubby's bands says mosquitos are NOT attracted to O+ blood. i AM O+...so if this is the case, i wish someone would infomr the mosquitos to leave me the hell alone.....:p

anyone know a completely scent-free mositurizer? :o i can go without just about all other products when at home....even deodorant ...but i need my moisturizer. i currently use a cocoa butter, so i know it has scent. if i am to try to be completely scent-free...i need somethin'.

I couldn't take it anymore so I sprayed the entire circumference of my house. I can't sit in my yard to save my life. My idiotic neighbors leave drums filled with water and these skeeters breed like wildfire, it's been bad before but this is ridiculous.

i feel for you, damn near everybody i know gets eaten up by mosquitoes. i rarely get bit by them, but if there is one flea in a 100 mile radius, it'll come find me though. no idea why there's a difference between them....bugs are irritating
