this is becoming a bad habit.

i was simply going to bump up 'celebrating birthday in the hospital' but with the search function disable, i couldn't be bothered scrolling through the AET. needless to say, my mother has spent yet another holiday in the hospital. :(

i took her to the ER on satuday afternoon, was there with her almost 6 hours, and she had to stay. i also had to tell her she had to stay, b/c she did NOT want to stay. she had plans to visit her grandkids and my oldest sister for th holiday. it sucked, but she HAD to stay.

more than likely, she is going through 2-3 different tests/procedures ove rht enext couple days, so shall be in the hospital until at least wednesday more than likely.

i've been saying i know its going to become more and more common for my mother to visit the hospital, etc given her age....but man...it was only 2.5 weeks ago!

please keep her in your thoughts and prayers......thank you! :)

I am so sorry to hear that,

I know it is so difficult when your parents get older and become ill. My mother is 70 and my father is 74. My father is in a nursing home and my mother broke her leg year requiring surgery and 8 weeks of recuperation when she couldn't walk.
I will think good thoughts for your Mom and I hope she recovers soon. Hang in there.

I am sorry you are going through this. I can totally relate.

My Dad just finshed his cancer treatments, which was one step in a series of illnesses he has fought over the last few years. I dont' know exactly whats going on with your Mom, but chronic illness is very hard to watch your folks go through.

Keep your chin up, lots of positive vibes are being sent your and your Moms way!

I just posted about what a nice time I had with my mom yesterday. I imagine you are hurting greatly now.
Get well soon to your mom.
