*celebrating* a birthday...in the hospital

my mother will be turning 80 tomorrow...in the hospital. :( very sad indeed. we had a HUGE surprise party for her saturday....so already celebrated. however, yesterday she was admitted into the hospital and will be staying at least 2 days for tests. she had been very ill, ends up she has a bacterial infection. add in her age, her overall health issues...and then yesterday she just couldn't breathe and called 911. scary. she seems to be doing alright, still no real news on the whys of it all. so please...keep her in your thoughts/prayers........

    aw honey i'm so sorry :( definitely, i'll be sending tons of good thoughts eastward. i went thru a scare with my mom not too long ago so i know how stressful it can be. hope all goes well and she can come home soon, keep us posted!

    my oldest son spent his sixth birthday at the hospital. only because my wife was giving birth to our other son, that is.

    thank you ALL for your kind thoughts/wishes! must've worked, they let her out a day early so she is home! :) i am so glad. firstly of course, because i don't want my mother to be unwell. secondly, i felt horrible that she would be spending her birthday in the hospital.....so glad she's home! she is still feeling quite poorly, on meds, etc....but she is getting better.

    momma dream is pretty much on the mend now, feeling 99% better. :) she's had lots of bloodwork done, but nothing definitive as of yet to say *why* what happened, happened. sad thing is, at such an age.....this will become more and more common. :( she's had some serious scares in the past, 2 stents, etc.....but she's a tough little cookie. :p so thank you for the well wishes....much appreciated!
