americans - memorial day weekend!!!

wooohooooo!

i am sooo psyched for this long weekend! here in NY the weather is supposed to be FANTASTIC! sunny and warm, but not too warm, at least not on long island. :) early office closing tomorrow....out by 3 PM...then don't return until tuesday!

my plans are simple: to do absolutely, utterly, NOTHING. just finished up ALL my plantings in the garden last weekend....so i shall kick back in the garden and soak in the fruits of my labor, from the comfort of the back porch....the adirondack chairs...porch swing...hammock......every comfy vantage point there is. BBQ - or grill ;) - drink and laze about. for 3....whole.....days......*BLISS*





so, what's everyone's plans?

    I am soooo looking forward to the long weekend! The weather is finally supposed to be nice and spring like! No big plans for me either...meeting up with some friends, a BBQ at mom's, and going to the fair they have in town. Other than that I just want to enjoy the weather, rest up and relax!
    There's a light when my baby's in my arms :)

    pindar vineyards out in LI on Sunday. Friends BBQ Monday.

    the balance of the weekend will be spent getting boxes, packing, goin gto home depot to complete my kitchen, etc.

    I cannot wait until my move is complete and I have one of those weekends you described above :) July sometime....

    we did a vineyard tour/bar crawl? :o in september. good times.
    we have the possibility of parties, BBQs, but both of us just want to be home...relaaaaaxxx. june, EVERY weekend has something going on, and i've had a lot going on in may, so most definitely truly want/need this long weekend to just *be*

    btw - pindar's cab sav is their best wine imho. i do NOT care for their mix 'mythology' at all. just an fyi. ;)

    You don't need to just limit it to Americans d2d. Tis a public holiday (obviously not memorial day) here too :). Spring bank holiday. Have people visiting and staying over Saturday and we are going to gig then chill Sunday ... may do some shopping on Monday ... see how it goes
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

    well, i did not know this firstly. ;)
    secondly, i guess ireland is different b/c i believe helen mentioned to me earlier that their bank holiday is NEXT weekend. anyhoo....i simply didn't want to assume the rest of the world had the same deal, and most especially for 'memorial day'....so was trying to be sensitive of the fact that not everyone here is american, etc. just can't win, eh? :D hahahaha.


    glad some of you euros also get to enjoy a 3 day weekend too! :)

    After Hawaii, I work for 2 weeks and get to see the Red Sox come to Philly and then REM and the PJ tour and then another 2 weeks off until I start my new job.

    It's going to be a good start to the summer. :D
