seriously!

she called me tonight and left me a couple voicemail messages, the last one being that she scored 2 tickets to see the police's FINAL performance, ever - or so they say - at MSG august 7th.

my very FIRST concert, ever, was to see the police in atlantic city, with the very same sister. i often refer to the police as 'the pearl jam of my youth'...b/c i loved them with the fervor i now hold for pearl jam. there truly is such beautiful symmetry to this.

i DID already purchase tix to see the police earlier in the week for me and hubby - he's never seen em live, me only that first time with my sister. she doesn't know this yet, but no matter. she presented it as an 'early' birthday gift....my birthday is in november.....b/c had to make a pretty nice donation to get the tix.

anyhooooooo....my sister ROCKS! :D
Stay with me...

    i really, really do!
i could tell you oh so many stories! it's been too long since we last did a girls night for a concert. i am now actually thinking of asking her to roadtrip with me to boston if i score ed tix. i am just WAY too nervous to let them get sold before the NY tix go onsale, i can't risk being shut out! ahhhhhh...a dreamn sisters roadtrip, watch out!

the leg is still attached. :p honestly, it's been hurting like a bitch, my other kneww hurts b/c the ginormous scab on it is getting tighter and tighter, pulling......my left ankle is still swollen and ugly, altho not nearly as ugly....i think i am getting sick and i generally feel like death. guess it doesn't help that i more than likely replaced half my blood content with alcohol. :o otherwise, all good!

i can't wait to call her tomorrow and tell her how cool she is!

and becks...yes....20+ years later, i get to see my very first crush, stewart copeland. from a drummer to marriage to a bass player...gotta love those men with rythym. ;)

That's awesome! What a great gift. You know your sibling loves you when they do something like that.

Hope you enjoy the shows and hope your leg starts feeling better soon!

as i mentioned earlier...boy, could i tell you stories. ;) the dreamn sisters have had some adventures to be sure! :D

and i do love my older sister too and she is sweet and all, but my middle sister and i have such a great bond. perhaps b/c we were at each other's throats growing up - while my oldest sister, 11.5 years older, out of the house most of my childhood - and now realize how precious a relationship we have. :)

it's nice to think after all this time we can go have some fun, just us, again!
i'm thinking of seeing if i can get her to go to boston with me for solo ed - haha. she's not a big fan tho, and her hubby is a pain in the arse....eh well........
