  • I normally go with best available player, as opposed to positions. In my money league, I can keep Adrian Peterson. It's an auction league, $175 cap, and I'll keep him for $27. If he hit the open marklet, he'd command $50 or more. That leaves me lots of $$$ to go after another top RB, perhaps Steven Jackson (depending on his holdout) or LT.

Jackson = no longer a holdout

If youre asking about what to do for THIS league, then I highly reccomend taking 2 WRs the first 2 rounds. Definitely!!!

maybe if I'm picking down on the bottom of the list. I think last year I had the 10th overall pick...I hate that! :p

I'm NCBRI, and I approve of this draft strategy. For my opponents. All of them. In every league. Please. I need all the help I can get.

Speaking of draft...........it's on tonight fellas!

  • I can't believe I forgot about the draft. What a bonehead. I remembered at 8:45. Autodraft did alright for me though. I'm thrilled with Steven Jackson at 6. Very surprised he made it to 6. Not thrilled with larry Johnson in the 2nd round, but there probably wasn't much better available there. I don't expect much from him, but maybe I'll get lucky. My QB's are iffy. Carson Palmer and Favre, with Jamarcus Russell carrying the clipboard. Both could be great, and both could stink. I always like grabbing a top D like NE, and a top kicker like Vinitieri. It might have been a little early, but I had all my offense covered at that point. I think my sleeper pick of teh night could be Leon Washington. Thomas Jones is 30, which is like 100 if you're a RB. The Jets have a much improved O line, and with Favre, you always have to respect the dep ball, which will open up some holes for the spedy Leon

I got leon on one of my teams. he should get 10-15 touches a game and then return yards which he likes to rack up.
Hopefully he'll have a solid year.

I was surprised Jackson slipped that far also. I think he's going to have a huge bounce back year. And as far as LJ. He's a high risk/high reward guy. He may be a bust like last year, but if he stays healthy and the KC line gives him a little help then he could be a top 5 back.
