I'm wondering if now that Bush is out of office...will they discontinue playing Bushleaguer? I hope not! I love this lil gem! (I'll especially miss the mask!)

Got this song in 2006 in Denver. Was totally psyched. It was awesome. Sadly I doubt it will be played again.

if they tour in 2009 ... I bet they play it as a "victory tour" type of celebration ... a dedication if you will ...

I'm pretty sure Bushleaguer is a term that doesn't necissarily mean George Bush, and the lyrics can apply to anyone, so I'm sure we'll hear it again,.. but it will become a rarity.

well in all honesty, I don't think so, but who knows?? I was lucky enough to see Arc played the 2nd of 9 times and that was supposed to be the idea of how many times the song would be played. Ed Played it on his solo shows a few times, so I guess we will see. Politically speaking though, It wouldn't make sense to play Bushleager anymore since he is out of office come January. But I guess it's possible.

  • One sunny day in January, 2009 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."
The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The old man said, "Okay", and walked away.
The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."
The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.
The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak
to Mr. Bush. I've told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"
The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow, Sir."
    This is how I feel....

If there was a reason, it was you

  • They'll soon have a song called Obamanation, inspired by the microchips we'll be required to have in 2 years after the next large "terror" attack or mass panic.
A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."

To find I'd known this all along.
