    over here they are "Fizzy Drinks" or maybe "Carbonated drinks" for posh people. Other than that... no idea.

    Can't believe people use Coke as a generic term!

    Yep they had Craighead county properly marked. If you want a soda you ask if a person has any cokes. It is the term for any soft drink.
