i wondered if it was still on the go... to be honest i thought it had died out. :o and i use it on here as it sounds funny... so retrospective apologies to any lepers i may have offended.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

in some parts of the world yes, it is still around.
I came from a town that were mostly leppers. My parents don't have it but my grandmother from my mother's side has it.
It's not as ramant now than when I lived there but there are still people who have it.

    Ta-da! The W.H.O. thinks it's still around.
According to official reports received during 2008 from 118 countries and territories, the global registered prevalence of leprosy at the beginning of 2008 stood at 212,802 cases, while the number of new cases detected during 2007 was 254,525 (excluding the small number of cases in Europe). The number of new cases detected globally has fallen by 11,100 cases (a 4% decrease) during 2007 compared with 2006.

i thought Hansens disease was when you reverted to age 12 and your hair become long and blonde... oh and your nuts went back up into your body... and your youngest sibling quickly becomes the most annoying little fucker ever to sit behind a drum kit... is that not the same disease?
