i was amazed at some of the pics Helen posted of Iceland (NOT Ireland!!!) on another thread and was hoping we could use this thread as a place to post beautiful stunning images of this amazing world that surrounds us.

i'll start with a scene from Scotland and one from the Isly Of Skye and last one is Elian Donan Castle

preferably i'd like to be nosey at beautiful images that exists near or around your area.

the one next to last was one of my favorites too... it just captured the essence of the North Shore of Oahu (where it was taken)... i went to catch a surf competition there that day, but it was cancelled due to high winds... so we just hung out on the beach and watched local surfers ride the sickest waves ever...it was a trip.... i later found out that Pearl Jam were all staying right up the road from that exact spot at a resort called the Turtle Bay(Beach) Resort on Oahu... the next night they opened for U2... that is why we were there.

Tahiti's high on my list of places to visit in 2009. It's very expensive to get there though. Marlon Brando has/had an island out there.
