oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I've seen the first one in the shops.. seems a bit formula fiction for my snobbish tastes.
The second one.. it sounds pretentious enough to be something I'd like reading.
But no... sorry.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

I always buy books based on the first page. It'll be good enough if it's written nicely from the first page, usually.. hang on that reads strangely. Obviously it won't be a good book if it's only written nicely from page 64.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

I agree about the cover of the second one. Gorgeous photo..love the sepia. And it also tells the reader that the book is going to be a journey. It also has awesome reviews.
Maybe I will read them too! Then we can have a talk about them.
I am reading this right now:
http://www.amazon.com/Crimson-Petal-White-Michel-Faber/dp/015100692X
One reviewer said it was "Dickens with the sex put back in"
It is a hefty read. I mean, the book is heavy in weight.Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away0 -
No..'I want to hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you

god I'm very, very frightening
and I'll overdo it'0 -
