5 pints of beer plus half a bottle of Martell cognac makes for a rather heavy drunken buzz...

anyone joining me tonight?

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

enjoy man. I'm being a sober dude for a week. Much as I enjoy a drinkie....there comes a time where I have to try and act like a grown up:(...which is a bit rubbish tbh :D
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

    Fair enoughski.

I myself am certainly too far gone to claim sobriety tonight but wondering why I'm not a lot more drunk considering the quantity, and richness, of the alcohol I have imbibed :(

:D that is a bit rubbish. I dunno, I just felt like drinking with a vengeance tonight. Had a thoroughly boring day, I have nothing but work and financial strife to wake up to tomorrow and I seem to be suffering from sort of inexplicable existential funk... my general cure for this kind of thing is to get as drunk as possible. Fantastic that it should coincide with a lovely bottle of cognac bought by a dear, dear friend for my birthday ;):p

ahhhh you've got me wanting cocoa now. Probably better for getting to sleep too.

My housemate seems to have fallen asleep on the sofa in the living room and he has cocoa... I wonder if I can get some without him noticing :o:D

the brandy'd finish me off by itself but following 5pints I'd be in a blackout the consequences of which could land me incontinent before the beak the morning after. You must have an iron constitution. Though I just can't handle spirits, beer's no problem.

Admittedly this is spread over a whole day. I had my first pint at 12, my last at 5, started on the Martell at about 7ish.

Even so, a while back this would have knocked me on my ass. Guess I built up a tolerance, which is slightly worrying.

I just stuck the one Export Strength IPA in the freezer to make it less hairy-tasting, and then I'm off to bed. I've a gig tomorrow in that bonkers place you came to see me at back in May, and I'm on the bill with a load of metalheads, so I envisage that after my set I'll be finding somewhere cheap, either near King's Cross or back in Cambridge, in which to have a few bevvies.

spread over 12hours it's okay, I'd thought you'd consumed it all this evening. I get a headache and dry mouth If I've spread a session out so long, usually the only one though.

I might crack open that Red Hook seasonal sitting in my fridge. It's usually good luck for my hockey team when I drink. That's backed up by an extensive scientific study on my part. ;)
  • You know I wasn't going to. But the events in the past hour I think I will have a drink or two.
  • Miller lite.
Drank the rest of my favorite, Franziskaner, last night. Yum.
    Excess in moderation.

I just opened a bottle of Chateau Gigault Premieres Cotes de Blaye. It is a nice value Bordeaux. Nothing fancy, but makes a good table wine to accompany dinner.

Ugh. What a dilemma. Ronaldo is my least favourite sportsman ever but I'm a Gers man...

    Fuck it.

    Come on United!
