Got both Herzog boxsets for christmas, the one with all 5 Kinski films (plus the documentary) and the other one with Jeder Fur Sich Und Gott Gegen Alle etc. Was wondering if anyone was a fan? I know Fins is
I've already seen Aguirre: Der Zorn Gottes, Fitzcarraldo, Woyzeck, Meine Liebster Fiende Feind and some of his documentary shorts but I wanted them on DVD anyway. Probably my favourite director and filmmaker.

"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

I also have the documentary "Burden of Dreams" that details the making of Fitzcarraldo. At one point, Mick Jagger was cast in the movie but had to leave for a tour after the production was delayed.
