  • me too! I think its because we are spending Christmas with my family and its been a few years. This year has gone well for me. I'm excited to start 2008 on a good note.
  • I've got no money either...

But yeah, the future's bright! Cheers!

    optimistic about what?
life in general. tired of dwelling on that which cannot be changed when I should be thinking about what can be :) I have my health, friends and family. can't (or rather shouldn't) complain about anything really.

  • I deliberately didn't book any gigs or sets between the 20th of December and 8th January, thinking I'd enjoy the break. Already, I'm bored shitless ....

I'm not raining on anyone's parade. I'm just saying, that I think optimism has to do with feeling that something that can go either way will go well. Saying that you'll be happy to live with the way things are seems more like it's "contentment" to me. I mean just an issue of vocabulary, I'm not saying it's a bad thing.

well, my life, much like anyone else's, could go well or badly next year. I am HOPEFUL that it will go well :) Optimism is also defined as looking for the most positive aspects of the status quo, if we're talking semantics ;)

Exactly. We all go through hard times but no one else can stop you from being happy. Life is what you make it.
