I always thought used tampons go in the freezer right next to the fruit punch popsicles?

  • one of the girls that was in my oldest sons class last year died during the summer. it's been found out that her dad and step mom would lock her in her room at 5:30pm every day, give her minimal food to eat, and the conditions of the house were deplorable. when the cops went inside when she died, they found a pile of cat shit 3 feet high in a corner. i guess they had somewhere between 100 and 200 cats.

last week they arrested the girls step brother for her murder, and the dad and step mom are facing at least a year in jail for endangering the welfare of a child (living conditions, lack of food, locking her in her room). i guess they weren't home when she died. the neighbors are in total shock. they've all said they had no idea what was going on inside the house. they didn't even realize they had so many cats living there (it's a country home, neighbors aren't right on top of each other). i've been following the story in the paper and it's just one of the saddest things i've ever read.

Is that up here in CNY? If so, that story has appaled me as well as everyone I know. How it got by Social Services is beyond me. So sad, that poor girl. To spend your living years in hell like that is just unacceptable.

so someone is going to clean the house up for her? her punishment should be making her do it herself... using her teeth.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Well, I could see how one could maybe get lost if quickly flung out in a night of drunken passionate lovemaking in the lounge...but no, used tampons are not generally found under the couch.

Talking about news like this just seems like the lowest type of gossiping because of course this is disgusting!! That's why it made it into the news.

Do we need to visualize it and add comments about why it's disgusting? :p

  • That is simply awful :( I hope those children finally get the life they deserve. Both parents should be held fully accountable.

On a similar note of child abuse... This was in the UK press not so long ago. Quite possibly the most upsetting and horrific case of abuse i've ever read about. The sad thing is, like the OP's story, it could've been prevented so easily. :(

both this story and the OP's are absolutely terrible.
i get really upset when children get fucked with.
i cannot fathom how that infant felt with a broken back and 8 ribs.
not including all the bruises from who knows how they were given to him.
    poor little dude.

i vote for hard-core punishment to be placed upon anyone harming kids.
both men and women deserve a bullet when hurting kids, yes/no?
abuse a child = getting your ass beat down and then executed, yes/no?
    or just prison, yes/no?

    I know... it's absurd :(

I read the story on my way to work one day and it stuck with me since. It's just so upsetting how a 'human' can do that to a helpless infant... it really is beyond me :(

The scary thing is Chadders, they've pleaded 'Not Guilty' and probably won't carry out much of whatever sentance they get.

The British judicial system sucks ass :(

Ah... the UK! Where a 'life' sentance means 12 years if you're good... :(

a few minds from time to time.

i am still trippin out over the injuries to the child.."a broken back & 8 ribs."

yeah, palermo i think. she went to school in phoenix. my son said a handful of the kids would tease her because she smelled really bad. my wife and i asked him if he did that and he said no. i believe him, he's not the kind of person to pick on someone, he's always been the one to stick up for people getting picked on. that's how he made at least 3 of his current friends.

i guess they were also sending her to school without lunch or money for lunch. her teacher sent home forms for reduced lunches, but the parents never filled them out, never communicated at all. they never showed up for parent/teacher conferences. social services were notified because they caught her stealing food out of the garbage. either the principal or her teacher ended up buying her breakfast and lunch every day without looking to get paid back. she was also sent to school in the same clothes every day, reeking of cat piss and shit. the school nurse put aside clothes for her to change into every day when she got to school, then change back into her clothes before she went home. it really is a terribly sad story. it's one of those stories you hear and say to yourself i wish there was something i could have done, anything.

on a related note, i read a letter to the editor the other day in the paper. someone was complaining because at a vigil they had for this little girl, they released a bunch of balloons. the letter writer said the balloons should never have been released, that it's nothing but a form of pollution and could harm animals somewhere. some people in my community turn my stomach with comments like that. granted, she's entitled to her opinion, but she's just being a total asshole.
    "Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"
