A judge has set a trial date in a lawsuit against Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom filed by the family of a 14-year-old girl whose feet were severed on a ride last summer.
Jefferson Circuit Judge Barry Willett set a trial date of January 2010. He also required attorneys to mediate the case and set a November 23, 2009 deadline for any settlement.
Cables on the ride snapped on June 21, 2007, shearing off part of Kaitlyn Lasitter's legs. Doctors reattached Kaitlyn's right foot, but she had to have some of her left leg amputated.
Lasitter and her family are claiming in their lawsuit that the park failed to maintain the ride and equipment and ensure riders' safety. In court filings, the amusement park has denied liability in the accident.
I hope the court makes them fucking pay every court cost/legal fee!

HUH????????
I think I'm missing something.
Are you saying this is a bullshit lawsuit and there is no way Six Flags could have possibly been negligent?
Or am I confused.....
There was that recent six flags tragedy where the teenager was killed after he climbed 2 fences to get into a restricted area... if that was what happened and the family sues, then that should be dismissed from the get go.
was like a picture
of a sunny day
