I don't think he doubts his own faults and tries a lot with his Amer-I-Can program.

Was he a FB or a HB? Never heard of a FB holding the career rushing record but I could be wrong.

Weird. So, did he have a halfback behind him or did they run a singleback set when he ran the ball? Is it just a terminology thing?

Yeah... hard to believe, huh? The guy was a fullback.
In those old NFL Films... he runs over guys twice his weight and outruns cornerbacks and safeties in the open field. I believe his career average per carry was 6.5 yards a carry. That translates to 'Give him the ball twice and you get a first down'.
    ...
But... yeah... he can be a real tool as a person. But, not as bad as O.J.

Is the title to your argument JB's feelings on a comment or an oppurtunity to vent YOUR feelings on this man?

Yes he did hit his wife/girlfriend in the past so has many men in America. Doesn't make it right but he also can voice his opinion on a racial issue based on the time he played his All American sports (football, lacrosse). A time where black Americans weren't quick to be given that oppurtunity to play.

the concept of a blocking FB is relatively new. back in the day, FBs ran the ball a lot. that's why they're called "full" backs even though they line up in front of the half back. it's just old terminology.

  • if i had to guess, i'd say that the term "fullback" probably comes from the old "wing T" formation. that's where you have a single RB (called a fullback), one WR, and two flankers.

in this offense, a flanker can also split out wide as a second WR or move into the backfield as a HB.

over time, the use of a HB became more common. it eventually evolved into the primary ballcarrying position with the FB moving in front of him (what is now called the "I" formation).
