I miss my Whalers

As I was watching some of the Vancouver Washington game tonight on Vs, I got a little teary eyed over the Vancouver green/white/blue jearsys. It brings me back to my youth watching Hartford lose at the civic center......

    nobody ever went to see the whalers back in the day. i'm not saying you weren't a fan back then, but most everyone i know in ct claims to have been a huge fan of the whalers back in the day.

    if they had a huge fanbase, they never would have left that shithole known as hartford.

    The transplanted Whale have a nice third jersey they're debuting tonight. Definitely not as cool as Hartford though. (Did I really just write "not as cool as Hartford?")

    the words hartford and cool should never be used in the same context.

    By huge fan I mean I went to their games, a couple a season. BUT I never said I had hope in them winning. My first game was the Jets Vs. Whalers way back in 92/93 I want to say.

    Now I'm going to play the "Brass Bonanza" on repeat
