I know this is a question for the Tech. board, but I need an answer soon.

I'm trying to create a graph on Excel with an equation included in the graph. I have my table already created, and know how to create a graph, but do not know how to add in an equation like Y=mX+b to be represented on the graph. Hope I was descriptive enough, any help would be great.

Thank you

You mean you actually want to show the equation, and not the result of that equation?

  • Right-click on any datapoint in the chart, choose "Add Trendline". Then choose "Linear", and "Display Equation on Chart" in the Options.
  • Very cool, thank you so much
