computer people - help please

so I've just done something to the laptop... this is now taking up the entire screen.. including covering up the bottom part with the time and stuff and the top part with back, forward, refresh and all that. I obviously hit alt and something or ctrl and something. Does anyone know how I get it back to normal?

Have you turned it off and turned it on again?

Have you plugged it in?

If in doubt, hit ctrl+alt+del or esc.

or hit it with a large object

well I was hoping to fix it soon cos I'm switchin off any second now. I couldn't hit the X and I couldn't find start either... but it came back so thank you anywhooooooooo

F11 maximises everything (try it)

alt + F4 closes all tabs (again, try it! )

F11 switches back & forth between regular and full-screen mode (seems like what you were describing)

Alt+F4 will close whatever app you got open & active.

Off the top of my head, for internet and general use....

F1 - Help (should you ever have an issue on your computer, always press this first. You'll be amazed at how much is in there... including the F key functions! )
F3 - 'Find' function
F4 - Highlights the address bar drop down history
F5 - Refresh page
F6 - Highlights the address bar for editting.

ctrl + H/ctrl + I - brings up history/favourites menu on the left hand side
alt + tab - allows movement/switching through programs (good for if you're trying to cover up the fact that you're on the internet at work :cool: )
