i've been on hollywood blvd at night....ain't never seen julia roberts or laura san jacomo hanging out there....and as for julia not getting helped on rodeo because of the way she looked....she was just 15 years to early....that outfit is de rigueur now

ok... you know way too much about that kinda shit for a man lol. But seriously a hooker being treated like that by a couple of snobs... I don't think it's realistic that she'd just TAKE IT! I go into shops like that HOPING for that kinda treatment so I can raise hell... and they're always just really nice to me :( . Guess pretty woman ruined any chance I ever had of putting them in their place... but seriously... they just work in a shop! She probably makes more money an HOUR than they do in a night... what the fuck?

YESSSSSS... sounds like just the kinda shop I've been hoping for! I kid myself that I actually look like I belong there which is why they're nice to me... but the reality may be more like they're afraid of me cos they can tell what I want

It was really weird going into one of them shops on rodeo drive and having somebody PUT the fucking shoes ON MY FEET :eek: EWWWWWWWWW! I've never had that happen in Ireland... and... eh... I'm pretty sure I can do that myself What if your'e buying underwear? :eek:

Oh they do that here in Myers in the shoe department. Least they used to. It's no big deal. It's not like Myers is swanky!

I can't stand this movie. I have seen it once and only once. I'm not a fan of Julia or Richard, so there was no reason to watch this again.

I once worked in a posh ladies shoe shop and had to put shoes on women's feet I can't even tell you the things I have seen :eek:

It was terrible... TERRIBLE. If I ever get so old I can't trim my own nails then I will be paying for way more pedi's. I have seen toe nails that could take out an artery :eek:

but i think i often watch pretty woman
i love the scene where she came with the help of the hotelmanager
to the shop and dress up
and than goes to the shop of this st...folks

Helen, I have never seen this movie although I know about it's cultural significance.

For some reason the idea of the story is repulsive to me so I always change the channel if it comes on.

(I realize it's probably a likable movie though or it wouldn't have the audience it does.)

It is likeable... you may not enjoy it now though. First time I saw it I was pretty young... so wouldn't have understood the storyline fully probably... so it was just romantic... plus I love the shopping... and the clothes... I also really like the music
