Communication seems to be an issue!

All the relationship threads looking for advice, there seems to be one thing missing in the original post... communication. You can not expect your SO to agree with all your opinions or like everything you like. You may have a lot of common ground but you're still 2 different people and things like needing alone time should often be dealt with from the beginning. Often my boyfriend will bitch about work or whatever and most of the time it's actually interesting but sometimes it goes on a bit... and I tell him but in a joking way like 'my god, I haven't heard a word you just said' or just completely change the subject suddenly and he always laughs. It's really not that difficult if you're both open and honest about everything from the beginning.

Hmm... I've forgotten what my point was Oh yeh, there's just not enough communication, honesty and compromise these days.
