My new conspiracy theory - earthquake related

So I got thinking about all these earthquakes going on... the one in England was apparently related to one in Donegal last week so I looked at links to that one. Apparently it happened at the same time as one in Norway, so I read more into it, the one in Norway was on an archipalago called Svalbard - registered 6.2 and the strongest to hit Norway in modern times.

All very strange stuff going on. Then I realised Svalbard? That sounds familiar... what else has Svalbard been in the news for recently?

http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=25754&Cr=food&Cr1=

Seeds my arse... do these fuckers think we're stupid?

I demand to know what the fuck is REALLY going on in Svalbard? Anyone with me? :o anyone at all?

Any Norwegians care to investigate? :)

Apparently they couldn't get spiders, and had to go with ill-tempered sea bass instead.

oh yeh... laugh now! My co-workers think I'm on to something here! I wonder if that satellite actually fell on Svalbard perhaps, causing the earthquake... and the tremors to follow are those giant mutant spiders

That's the thing, I invested $8.2 billion in a Norweigan sea-bass mutation company and European sea-bass related insurance policies. I can expect to see at least a 50% increase on my investment.

Not really... come on... here's an island nobody's ever heard of and then in the space of a week it makes the news for two 'unrelated' yet equally strange stories? Coincidence? I think not!

'The vault has top security blast-proof doors and two airlocks'

seriously how the fuck is anyone gonna open this? :D

    And don't say I didn't warn yas:

'The Svalbard Undersea Cable System which started operation in January 2004 provides dual 1440 km fiber optic lines from Svalbard to Harstad via Andøy, needed for communicating with polar orbiting satellite stations on Svalbard, some owned by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), both United States government agencies.'

'Svalbard is featured as the setting for much action in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. A gateway was created there from which one could gain access to parallel universes. The Svalbard in the books is inhabited by a race of intelligent armored polar bears (Panserbjørne), ruled by Iofur Raknison (as of the first book).
The popular 1985 Norwegian film Orion's Belt takes place on Svalbard.
The Captain of the Polestar by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is set off Amsterdam Island at the North West of Svalbard.
Most of the action in The Chronicles of William Bazillion takes place on Svalbard, in the present and in the past. '
