I forgot all about the icecream and went shopping instead and only spent 5euro (still had 100euro of vouchers left that my aunt gave me last month... so got 6 tops, a skirt and a pair of shorts, lol). Then when I got home I wasn't gonna eat cos I had to shower and then pack for the weekend... BUT it turns out my housemate was just taking a lasagne out of the oven that was WAY too big... even for HIM! So I got fed, wooooo

Nah, my sister got her permanent residency in Australia... so she'll be moving along with her husband and my niece and nephew... on the same day, my dad got redundancy so he'll be moving to the other side of the country to be with his girlfriend. My brother is in Kosovo in the army. My boyfriend lives in England.

So basically I'll have no home to go to anymore for a weekend or whatever... and I'll see my family very rarely :(

But I spoke to my sister about it last night and I'm not too bad about it today.

I know a similar feeling,
When I was in college my stepfather wanted to retire to Florida, so my parents sold the house I grew up in.
And they didn't tell me! :eek:
I found out when I saw the 'For Sale' sign when I came home from Spring Break! :eek:
I was like,

that is a bummer to have family move away.
On the bright side at least you'd have a cool reason to travel to Australia! You could go say hello to Jeanie!

Cheering up;

We had a huge thunderstorm today and for some reason my internet and tv had no signal the whole day... I had nothing to do, so I listened to some of the audience recordings of the shows.. especially MSG2, and just laid in my bed. I fell asleep at some point and I had a dream, it was a long dream to explain, but the main thing is it was about PJ and Eddie -- okay, so at some point in the dream, I saw Eddie surrounded by a little group of fans wanting autographs, so I went there too to get one.. once he got to me he looked me in the eyes, took a pen from his shirt pocket and wrote his autograph, I was so excited that my heart was trying to escape through my throat, he left, and I went sitting somewhere looked at the autograph and saw what he had written; "Loveboatcapt... (scratch that) sorry... Eddie Vedder" -- I looked at it in my dream and I wondered about it, and the next thing I notice, I'm awake and my heart is still beating really fast... goodd dream...

wow, Helen, I am so sorry. I have had two best friends move out of state and it was a weird sad abandonment feeling. Like, "you can't leave me here". And all I could think was that I wouldn't have left them.
But you seem like you have a lot of good friends so I do hope they help you feel not so alone. An old friend of mine had a plaque in her house that read, "a family is a circle of friends that love you". Isn't that true sometimes? I hope when all is better ( like it sounds like you are feeling a bit now) you may look at it as more places to visit should you be able to and want to.

Thanks su I'm much better after the weekend. I'm sure this will hit me at times leading up to their move and it will be very hard when they actually go... cos I'm seriously bad at goodbyes :( . I don't really have many friends in Dublin... I've plenty of aquaintances and people I can drink with and stuff like that... but I don't really have anyone I could call and cry down the phone to :( apart from my sister really. Seems I've way more friends in England these days. I'll be moving there myself anyway in the next few months so I can't really complain. I feel sorry for my brother then cos he'll be back from Kosovo so then it'll be just him!
