Steph... where are you?

Steph, aka doin-the-evolution landed at 08.30 sharp (I know cos I rang the airport) and nobody's heard from her... I checked the bus times and she should have been at my house about an hour and a half ago :eek: she's no phone cos hinn's bringing it tomorrow... so what could she be doing? How do you find somebody who's probably very very lost? :eek:

Stay put, unless there will be someone there if you leave.

Oh I'm at work but Chris and Jody are waiting for her in the house... they'll be there another few hours cos Babs and Rob land just after 1 so they've to let them in too... I texted Rob to keep an eye out for her in the airport, maybe get her paged or something if there's still no sign

An hour and a half isn't too bad as far as delays go, I wouldn't panic yet.
If she's lost in transit there isn't much you can do to find her. She has your phone number, I would assume.

yeh, you're right... I need some patience

there's nothing I can do to find her, with her not having a phone and all... but yep, she has my number, address, directions... so she could be lost but she'll find it eventually.

was she taking a direct flight from Seattle or did she have a transit through London for example.
maybe there's a problem with her luggage and she's sorting it out.

then again, Steph isn't the best person with directions bless her.. so yeah, she might be hopelessly lost and if she's got no phone then likely she hasn't got your number either.

Turns out Steph got the wrong bus and then had to wait an hour and a half for the right one or something... she's really tired now so might sleep til I get back to the house and go out later.

she also 'lost' her camera Saturday night... or was it Friday... the whole weekend just seemed like one really really long night

I shoulda warned you NOT to ask directions... it even warns people in the lonely planet guide... cos if people don't know where to send ya, they'll just send ya anywhere . And you proved you're bad at directions by not following the very specific ones I'd laid out and asking people instead

well perhaps i should adopt this as my legacy... it took me 2 hours to get from stansted to sandras house... and babs and her had no way of getting a hold of me! HAHA.
i was on the tube thinking, oh yeah, they are prob sitting there thinking... my god we lost her again!

well in fairness babs probably hadn't noticed you weren't there yet... I think Sandra was one of the first to point out that your sense of direction isn't the best so I'm sure neither were overly worried, lol. Say hi to both though.

Seriously. I gotta confirm this. She was pretty good here in Croatia.
it's not a big country, though, but you do need some sense of direction and Steph did pretty well walking around town all day with Hinny

well stansted is a long way out, and i can see it taking 2 hours, no problems, depends if you got the bus or train, and if the bus, then depended on traffic, and where you went too!
