    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH....ad nauseum. :D
You actually take the eurovision seriously? Come On! WE entered an actual Turkey for fecks sake. Ever since it's inception it's been a showcase for he cheesiest pop known to man, and all voting has always been based on political affiliations rather than the quality of the music.
So just slag off the songs, enjoy the ridiculous dance routines, and laugh at Terry Wogan and Marty Whelan getting progressively more drunk as the night goes on.

I don't take it seriously :D which is why I was suprised at myself getting angry about it lol, cos it doesn't really deserve ANY kinda emotion. I have to admit Marty's pretty fucking hilarious... although I too was hammered watching it. Went to the pub for the rugby and me and my housemate continued drinking when we got back to the house  .

I just cant understand what the hype is. People there going mad over their nation and their song, they have their flags flying and everything....

And most of the performances i just sit there and think W T F!

But i like how wogan makes stupid comments about it.

as always there were many crappy songs. i actually always wonder why it is not possible for countries to find one talented band/singer that they can send to the contest. it amazes me every year. (yeah, i admit it: i usually watch this every year.)

the voting is always more friend/enemy/political-based, so it isn't really about the songs.
my favourite song was definitely the one from bosnia-herzegovina:

Oh and our top three were Latvia (as always) 12, Poland (big surprise  ) 10 and UK 8... so really the Irish people gave the UK our top vote. And certainly not cos the song was any good :D

what i find strange is that there are always a couple of songs who get often 12 or 10 points and others get hardly any and yet i can't figure out why. before the voting starts i always ask myself which songs will be on top and i never can tell.

:o good point! I mean the Ukraine would have been a more obvious choice if ya ask me... even Greece! Russia made NO sense whatsoever  Do ya reckon there's some kinda online community? Where they decide which country's gonna win this year? And, after all, who votes other than the big enthusiasts?
