Well, you wouldn't have *had* to. You could've made it work. Oh well, I was curious.

True. But the shows are on Tuesday and Wednesday. And I wouldn't want to fly back the day after the shows without seeing San Diego. And if you're going to be out Tues-Fri, why bother showing up on Monday. ;)

Plus, the shows also fell on April 15th/16th. My dad is an accountant and every year I take him out for a steak or baseball/basketball game, or something the day after tax season so I wouldn't want to break that tradition.

In the last two years, I've knocked Chicago and Los Angeles off my list. Still on my list is Seattle, New Orleans and Vancouver.

    Neat question..
Seattle is worth the trip, imo.

Chicago is still on my list
    and Sedona, AZ
and Boston! I haven't been to Boston and I'd like to see it.

Let's see what else.... well #1 on my list is Paris
    and London, Rome and Barcelona.

U.S.: Boston, Philly, Chicago, Savannah (I loved Midnight in the Garden...), Portland, a TON of places in Alaska, D.C., Colorado City, AZ (ask Jon Krakauer why), Charleston, SC, rural Connecticut and Maine.

I just saw your post. Yep, SB is not a weekend, but it's a Thursday so I'm only going to miss a couple days of work.

I just saw a special on Charleston, SC while in Raleigh over the weekend and it looks very interesting. I may be roadtripping down from Raleigh to there at some point this summer.

And nfanel beat me to it, but I could give a pretty good tour of Philly and Boston as well.

And you have to get to Alaska. I know you want to the ITW stuff, but kayaking on a glacier lake and riding the Alaskan Railroad was truly amazing. Plus the bike tour to the glaciers in Juneau was as well.

LOL. Actually, I didn't even think about the Into the Wild thing. I've always wanted to go to Alaska. I doubt I'd be trekking that far "into the wild" to trample on McCandless's grave. :(

It was probably quite boring for an 11 year old kid...well, except for the Pink Jeep offroading tour, which I'm hoping you got to do!

Montreal is really pretty and very nice. I've been there twice. I loved it.

It gets really really cold in the wintertime though

I also liked Toronto when I went there

    It's SO cold though!

I've been in the, what was it called, the stadium where the Expos used to play
and I saw Marilyn Manson and David Bowie on tour in Toronto, and Live with PJ Harvey.

I went to Quebec City too! It was on a french class trip in high school. It was very cool.

I don't really remember much of it, I was 8! But I think I liked it :) I remember going on the Metro
and the Washington Monument was pretty cool.

I went to Toronto for a hockey game in January a few years ago. It is most definately cold, but worth the trip. And I'm not a big hockey fan at all. I also went to TO in 03 to see Pearl Jam and a Blue Jay game. Very cool city. Gretzky's is the nicest bar I've ever been to
