Who's gone in your neck of the woods?
I was shocked to see WBZ in Boston get rid of these folks:

They apparently don't care about good news........just a way to save a buck and go younger.

Its called maximizing shareholder returns ..........or Evolution
no. not the case.
I work for CBS. It is a very sad time. they cut some co-workers of mine here in NY that were good friends. the cuts took place everywhere across the country.
bottom line - print, tv and radio are suffering businesses. advertisers are moving HUGE amounts of spending to internet. the auto business in particular. which happens to make up the bulk of our revenue. when you lose billions of $$ in advertising that you did not project would happen, unfortunately heads have to roll. they tried every other cost cutting measure before coming to these decisions. no one here is happy about it.
