I hate seafood, but this stuff is in a class by itself. it's more like a rich, big hunk o' meat more so than it is a slice of fish. the stuff is addicting.

It is yummy :) I like it with capers and cream cheese on a bagel. Back home where I worked part time they made a pastadish with some smoked salmom!! One of my fave dishes!

Doesn't though? I got all excited and went to the fridge to make a sammich and then remembered at the last minute I don't actually have any smoked salmon or cream cheese.

So I had to settle for ham and cheese. :(

Well yesterday I had a turkey pide, with camembert, baby spinach and cranberry. And now today with all this smoked salmon, cream cheese and caper talk, I can't say the old ham and cheese is very exciting.

Actually come to think of it, I had Cheese and potato pancake and salad for lunch on Monday. So today is by far the MOST boring lunch of the week! :D

    Where's the tim tams??? ;)

Love Salmon. You can keep the smoked part though. Get to the fish market nice and early, grab yourself some Salmon steaks and cook them up on the BBQ. Its the best fish you'll ever eat it literally melts in your mouth you don't even have to chew it!! :D

    Loooove me some smoked salmon!!!

OF course being from and in the Pacific Northwest, I am a little biased. Salmon, along with most other seafood is a real staple around here.

I could live off of seafood, steak, and some fresh vegetables everyday - I swear!

Haha, yea! I did a month long cruise/land trip to Alaska. They had different planned 'excursions' at every stop, like hiking, kayaking, etc. Each stop had a 'snack break' which ALWAYS involved some form of smoked salmon. It was awesome. :D

Interestingly, the Japanese very rarely eat raw salmon, so I've heard.. But yeah, cream cheese? Sushi with cheese? Really? Cheese?....
