20 bucks EACH of the festival (30 the day of show) -- so basically 60 bucks for a shitty ride for the entire festival (something that should be included in the price of 258 dollars for three days of music)

And ya have to purchase em thru ticketmaster???
Thankfully I am not going all three days, but even with just the one night I am going (Friday), I won't be purchasing these. Looks like someone is getting rich off a 10 minute ride. I can pay 7 bucks to ride the subway all day in NYC.

I'm just curious how Goldenvoice's venture into the east coast is doing. i've heard zero buzz about this.

Im going to Fri and Sat and even though the lineup isnt great there are still a lot of lesser known acts who are really good.
Im going for Radiohead (of course), Kings of Leon, the Roots, The New Pornographers, Black Angels, Girl Talk, and Michael Franti.

those are the days I'd go if I was out there ... check out Metric, they bring tons of energy to the stage. I love Borken Social Scene. Andrew Bird puts on a good show too.
I was contemplating going ... then they announced the Outside Lands Festival here in SF ... which has Radiohead ... and Broken Social Scene ... so, I passed on APW. Wish KOL was making out here.

I heard Radiohead may only play 1 hour sets each night and that they will be similar. If that is the case I'm gonna be incredibly pissed off. There is no way you can play a festival two nights (that many people bought three day passes for) and have very similar sets. Its just not right.
EXACTLY
I will be there Sat. but Im not really excited cause its GA and it will be packed.
that 1 hour set thing HAS to be a rumor. I'd bet on 1:30 - 1:45, pushing 2 hours ... about 1/3 of the set being similar.

I pray to god your right..........that would be a bunch of crap if it were true.
its a first timer, so my expectations are low for this festie
I am sure radiohead will put on a great show, and the setting should be spectacular.
GV usually drops the Coachella schedule 3 - 4 days before the fest .... guess that's when you'lll really know.

Im really scared the Roots will overlap with Kings of Leon (since the Roots are closing one stage and KoL goes on before Radiohead on the main stage.
