Just heard a story on the news about this. The more stressed out ya get, the more likely you are to have a terrible memory, and 40 more times more likely to develop alzheimer's. If this is the case, then I can safely say I can start diggin an early grave. I gotta calm down a bit, I think. I've got quite the amount of grey hairs, and I'm only 22.

When the body is stressed out, it secretes a hormone called cortizone, which is produced by the adrenal gland. This hormone literally destroys the brain.
It's the reason why Salmon don't live very long after they've hauled their assess upstream. To get the energy they need to swim upstream, they depend on their adrenal glands to work overtime producing cortizone, which destroys their fish bodies from the inside.
Well, I hope that was interesting.

that s scary ...
causes ive heard:
green houses
aluminum
stress
alzheimers is pretty damn heartbreaking. i know. :(
stress is a bad mother. it can cause or exacerbate a litany problems...high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, obesity, infertility, autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, etc. guess you can add alzheimers to the list?
And intelligence. The smarter the person, the more likely they are to suffer.
i dont think this is right... ive read many reasons and all seem to be discarded after a while... the best one however ive heard so far and the one im sticking with is its direct link to lifetime evolution.... if you dont use your brain as you develop you will lose it later on in life.
