I just don't get some people. So I work with this girl and we were talking after work yesterday and she wanted to go out to eat really quick so we did and she wanted to take me in her new truck. So I was like sure, I'll go see her new truck since she's proud of it.
She's like maybe 5'1" tops. She's tiny even in her heels she wears. Probably weighs about 4 or 5 pounds. Smallest girl I've ever known. So we pull up and she's got this big ass iForce Tundra with the 5.7 liter engine. Nice truck, however we were talking, I found out she was single, lives alone, has no boat, no jet ski's, no dirt bikes, no kayak, no trailers of any sorts, doesn't know how to drive with a trailer, doesn't go out to the river, or desert, basically doesn't leave the city. Says you can find better things to do that aren't harmful to the environment like go lay out on the beach. So I asked her reasoning as to why she bought that truck then if she has no necessary uses for it?
Cause she likes trucks, and wanted a four door to take her friends out. What the fuck, seriously? Not to mention she lives about 35 miles from work. Man I just don't get the reasoning of some people. I would understand it a little more if she was like 6'9" and wanted the room, even though the headroom sucked in that thing.

that is crazy..but the gal loves trucksThese cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.0

I must admit, I like big cars, but like you I don't understand people with these big assed 4x4 trucks. But my idea of a big car is a 5 door, the last two cars I've had have been 5 door hatchbacks. I've got a small 3 door Peugeot now, only because of the cost of upkeep...petrol, insurance etc, and it does me, my girlfriend and my 3 year old fineParis 7/11/96

haha, yes, yes she does...but I mean, maybe reason a bit then? Maybe compromise and get a Tacoma. I'm just saying, pulling out the I'm friendly with the environment card cracked me up.
I've gone out to buy a truck three times in the last two months and all three times I can't pull the trigger.0 -

Yeah that's awesome. I've been driving a focus ever since I graduated high school. It's always worked. And now I have a trailer with all my tools and work crap in it. But whenever I do field work now, I just take what I need and throw it in my focus since I don't have a work truck anymore since I work mostly in the office now. It's a hassle though, and I really do need a truck since I'll be working out there in a few months for a little while and will need everything I have. I'm sure people hate me borrowing their stuff. I'm hoping my work will rent me one. I do have a dirt bike and seadoo also, but it's stored out where I go riding so I don't have to tow there. I admit, a truck would make life easier, but eh, I'm still making it work without one.0 -

Be my guest, go ahead and derail it. I give you full permission!I mean that comes later on, but the story was already long enough. j/k

Environmental concerns about big trucks aside, I guess your friend likes big trucks!0

I see this a lot in the neighbor hood I live in. I tend to think some people just believe they are safer in a huge vehicle. I have seen some of the fill up while I am at the gas station. They spend on a tank of gas nearly what I spend on groceries for a week.To pie I will reply

is who I am

This is why the U.S. is so great.
You can buy whatever vehicle you like.
