Do you ever see or hear someone...

in another person? Okay I don't think that explained it well. To me...I love Cat Power, but its not like Chan Marshall is singing to me, it's like someone I knew back in high school was singing to me. I knew this girl that loved Pearl Jam too, and we talked online all the time, back on the Synergy Board, and in the old AOL PJ chatroom way back then. I basically fell in love with who she was, and was seriously my best friend as far as talking to someone, and still feel as if she was one of, if not, the best person I've ever known. And I had a chance to meet her at the Berdoo show in 2000, but I had to miss that show and was only able to go to the Greek and San Diego shows, long story short, she ended up moving to Oregon and we've since lost contact and I regret that day almost every day. I think it's the only thing in my life that I regret...

Well now that I'm way off track, anyway back to the topic, so we had this connection with listening to cat power, and ever since, I've felt so close to her music, and whenever I go see Cat Power live, I feel as if it's Sara singing to me, so I have this strange connection to the music and don't necessarily see it as Chan's music.

Anyway, if this somehow makes sense to anyone, does anyone else experience this at all with anyone?

I don't wanna compare it to this, but it feels similar to how people see someone that has passed in someone that's living.

Or am I just crazy? :p

    Cat/Chan is the hottest thing goin' right now as far as female rock is concern.

    Yeah she is, it's good to see her get more recognition like this now, she's deserved it for a while.
